State-of-the-Art Dental Technology
There has never been a better time to practice dentistry. Our technology, materials, and understanding of what leads to the longevity of teeth are always improving. In our office, we use the best technology available to provide outstanding dental care.
Digital Radiographs
All of our radiographs are digital; this means lower radiation and better images. We can easily compare radiographs from one year to the next and transfer them to any specialist.
Photography
Photography is an essential diagnostic tool in our office. Whether we are capturing a fractured tooth to educate our patients and submit to a dental benefit plan for coverage, capturing the perfect shade match, or analyzing the esthetics of a patient’s smile, we rely on photos for proper documentation and treatment planning. We would be remiss if we put the camera away when the dentistry is complete. Our photo studio is equipped to take beautiful portraits and creative close-ups of your beautiful new smile. The art of dentistry is viewed through a new lens, and it is so much fun to turn up the music and let the creativity flow in our studio!
Intraoral Scanner
We use an iTero® scanner to capture 6,000 frames per second as the wand, or camera, glides over the teeth. These images are converted into a 3D image of your teeth which can be used for patient education and to communicate with the dental laboratory. The iTero also features near-infrared imaging (NIRI) to visualize cavities between the teeth, a view to evaluate bite forces, and our favorite-—the time lapse comparison between scans taken on different dates. Because teeth can shift, wear down, and get recession, the sooner we identify these changes, the better our chances of keeping them under control.
3D Printer
Our 3D printer completes the tech ecosystem in our office. With a resolution of 50 microns, we print the digital files captured with the iTero and convert them into physical models. We are then able to make retainers, night guards, whitening trays, and flippers (as well as replacements for lost ones!) without an appointment for gooey impressions—just give us a call and we will have your dental appliance ready for you to pick up.
