Our Process

We believe that smiles do not just enhance the way that a person looks; they are also meaningful, and one of the most basic forms of nonverbal communication. Our team never pressures patients to change the way that their smile looks cosmetically, but if you find that you frequently cover your mouth when you laugh or you never smile for pictures, we would love to help you achieve a smile that you can’t wait to show off!

Our first priority is to understand the changes you would like to see in your smile. We recommend bringing photos of smiles that you like to help us refine your vision. You will have ample time to share any concerns or obstacles that need to be taken into consideration when designing your smile.

Once we are on the same page, we do a comprehensive exam. You are probably used to having your teeth checked and gums measured, and this is undoubtedly part of it, but we also photograph your teeth and face from multiple angles and measure your lip and evaluate how it moves when you talk, smile, and laugh. We will take digital impressions and record the relationship between your upper and lower teeth.

Dr. Daniela applies her extensive training and experience in cosmetic dentistry to review all the records and develop a plan. She uses a facially-generated approach, which means that the health and function of the teeth are designed to be in harmony with the aesthetics of the mouth and face.

Being respectful of you and your preferences is at the core of what we do, so we involve you in all aspects of your care. Dr. Daniela will share her findings and recommendations with you, as well as answer all the questions you may have in order to make an informed decision.
