Dental Insurance

Dental insurance is usually a benefit provided by employers as part of their employee’s compensation. It is important to note that specific benefits, or lack thereof, are determined by your employer and are not a reflection of the dental necessity of the recommended treatment. Likewise, certain treatments that you may desire or consider better alternatives to what is included in your policy may not be covered.

Dental plans offer a maximum benefit per year; once that limit is reached, patients will not pay for any other services even if the procedure would be otherwise covered. Most plans do not cover 100% of the cost for dental care, but will require patients to pay for a portion of their treatment as outlined in the plan document.

With respect to our core values, we cannot compromise on the quality of our care due to plan limitations. The treatment we recommend is based on your dental needs and goals, not those of the insurance company. Our team is happy to assist with insurance claims and to help you understand what is covered by your policy. We will help you maximize the benefit offered by your plan while maintaining our focus on your oral health.

Custom Treatment Plans

Every patient at our practice has a personalized treatment plan that prioritizes their oral health needs first and foremost. Our plans, no matter how extensive they are, do not have to be intimidating in terms of cost or the actual services themselves. Usually, dental treatment can be broken up into several appointments or “stages,” each getting you closer to your ultimate goal. We will help you understand what will happen at each appointment so you can plan and budget accordingly.
